This interior design is a result of transforming the existing American-style interior into a more European-looking one. We preserved many original elements such as kitchen cabinets, flooring, doors, and baseboard. One of the goals was to make these elements work together with the new design.
A large kitchen island with a metal frame light fixture is the central part of the open-concept kitchen. Counter stools around the island are from SANDALYECI. We decided to replace the existing kitchen cabinet handles with modern black ones to add some contrast. A contemporary style sofa makes the living space more low-key and doesn’t bring too much detail. The big rug ties the room together and unites the set of sofas. Also, it covers the multi-color hardwood flooring making the interior less colorful. Each window has curtains or blinds to avoid overheating from the Las Vegas climate.
An unusual feature of the existing design was almost the complete absence of overhead lighting. We used track fixtures combined with LED and furniture lighting to reduce the amount of finishing work during the renovation.
