Interior design of a double-height house in the cottage community Lipki Village in Smaliavicy, Belarus.

The project was developed for a wonderful family of three who decided to swap the hustle and bustle of city life for a more peaceful lifestyle in a cottage community. The house layout fully reflects the family’s wishes: it features an open-plan kitchen–dining area and a living room with a double-height ceiling, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a home office.

Our main goal during the design process was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. To achieve this, we relied heavily on natural materials and a palette inspired by nature. The interior features rich wood and stone textures, while OIKOS OIKOS decorative plaster applied to the walls and ceilings adds a soft, seamless flow to the space. In the kitchen and bathrooms, colorful small-format tiles by EQUIPE adding vibrancy and personality to the interior.

The focal points of the living room are the fireplace and a large woven light fixture that fills the vertical space and emphasizes the home’s double-height ceiling. In the dining area, lighting is provided by two handcrafted pendant lamps from the Belarusian brand ZBOZHZHA adding a unique, artisanal touch.
